Sonitpur's NABARD plan for 2023-24 sees about Rs.1,278 crore of bankable credit potential across priority sectors. Farming and allied work make up roughly a third (Rs.445 crore, ~35%), while small business and industry (MSME, Rs.576 crore, 45%) is the single biggest slice - a sign the district's non-farm economy is growing fast (MSME lending has more than tripled in three years).
On the farm side, everyday crop loans dominate at Rs.240 crore, mostly for the three rice crops (Ahu, Sali, Boro).
