Privacy Policy

Nilam (operated by MoonProduct, India) takes the privacy of its visitors and customers seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

• Email address or phone number when you sign in (we use one or both — whichever you provide).
• Bookmarks, reactions, and comments you create against opportunities. Comments are public on the page they were posted to.
• Subscription & payment metadata when you subscribe to Nilam Plus — we store the Razorpay subscription ID, plan, and current period end. Card details are handled by Razorpay; we never see them.
• Anonymous engagement signalsvia a cookie-stored UUID. Used only to deduplicate “considering” reactions across reloads. Not shared with third parties.
• Basic request metadata (IP-derived state for showing locally relevant content; user agent for debugging). Not retained for marketing.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To save your bookmarks, surface engagement counts on ideas, and run the discussion + Q&A surfaces.
• To process Nilam Plus subscriptions via Razorpay and (for subscribers) generate AI answers via Anthropic.
• To send you transactional email — sign-in links, payment receipts, replies to your questions. We don't send marketing email without your explicit opt-in.

Sharing

We share data with three categories of service provider:

• Supabase — auth, database, storage. Hosted in AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1).
• Razorpay— subscription & one-time payments. PCI-compliant; stores your card details, not us.
• MSG91— phone OTP delivery via SMS, in compliance with India's DLT framework.
• Anthropic — for paid Ask AI answers. Question text plus the opportunity context is sent; answers are stored on the question thread.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising networks. We may disclose data when required by law.

Your choices

• Update your email or phone any time at your account page.
• Cancel a Nilam Plus subscription any time from the Razorpay billing email or by writing to us.
• Delete your account by emailing [email protected] — we'll remove your saves, reactions, comments (subject to community-content rules), and personal identifiers within 30 days.
