Baloda Bazar holds substantial limestone reserves feeding Chhattisgarh's cement cluster, yet almost all output exits as crushed stone or clinker at base-mineral prices. This unit builds on the district's limestone mineral reserves and the adjacent cement manufacturing cluster, turning raw limestone into precipitated calcium carbonate — calcined, hydrated, then carbonated into high-purity, controlled-particle-size CaCO3 for paper coating, paint, plastics, and pharma fillers, a multiple of raw-mineral margin per tonne. Buyers are paper mills, paint and masterbatch makers, and pharma-excipient distributors, typically locked in as 2-3 anchor offtake accounts. The main constraints: process control is everything (purity and particle-size spec drive whether output clears buyer QC), the kiln and reactor are a large up-front cost, and dust-and-water environmental compliance plus a captive CO2 source must be designed in from day one. The risk comes from this process and compliance complexity, not from demand.
