This workshop prints and stitches flags: country flags for flagpoles, small desk flags for meeting tables, car flags, table banners and flag sets for conferences. It also sells stands and poles, and replaces faded flags.
New Delhi district holds Parliament, the central ministries and the bulk of foreign embassies and high commissions, most of them in Chanakyapuri. Official talks and state banquets take place at Hyderabad House, and large government meetings at Vigyan Bhawan. Each visit or summit needs the flags of every country taking part, often at a few days' notice. Embassies fly their flag at the mission and the ambassador's home, and heads of mission may fly it on their official car.
You need a wide fabric printer (dye-sublimation, which bonds ink into polyester cloth), a heat press, two or three sewing machines, a skilled tailor and a small workroom. The hard part is accuracy. Every country sets its own colours and shape, and a wrong or upside-down flag at a diplomatic meeting is a serious embarrassment. Check every order against an official reference. Follow the Flag Code of India for the national flag. Work comes in bursts around visits and summits.
