Induction-base steel cookware assembly under your own brand

This unit buys pressed stainless-steel pan bodies and lids and turns them into cookware that works on induction stoves. It fixes a base to each pan (an aluminium disc sealed under a magnetic steel plate, joined by heat and a heavy press), fits handles and glass lids, then tests and packs kadhais, frying pans and saucepan sets under your own name.

Stainless-steel utensils and kitchenware are North West Delhi's One District One Product (the product the government backs here). Units in the Bawana industrial area press and polish steel bodies and loose parts, and much of this leaves unbranded for traders and bigger brands, who sell it under their own names and keep most of the shop price.

You need a shed in an approved industrial area, a bonding press with an induction heater, riveting and polishing machines, and an induction stove to test every piece. Bonding is the costliest, most skilled step: a badly joined base warps or comes loose. Pressure cookers and some other kitchen goods need a BIS mark (India's official quality mark), so check the current list for each item before you sell. The hardest part is selling, because big brands fill shops and shopping sites. Compete on steel thickness, finish and price.
