Hydraulic cylinder and gearbox rebuild workshop for mining machines

This workshop takes worn hydraulic cylinders and gearboxes from mining and plant machines, strips them, measures every part, and rebuilds them with new seals, re-machined or re-chromed rods, honed barrels (inner walls smoothed on a honing machine), and new bearings and gears. Each rebuilt unit is pressure-tested or run-tested before it goes back.

Ranchi has a large public-sector heavy engineering plant at Dhurwa, and NABARD's credit plan for the district counts around 540 industrial units in general engineering, foundry, electrical and steel casting, which gives the city a pool of fitters and machinists. The coalfields of Ramgarh and Hazaribagh and the steel plants of Bokaro and Jamshedpur are within a few hours' drive, and their dumpers, shovels, loaders and rolling mills need regular repair. Much local engineering work is still basic fabrication, and careful rebuild work with test records pays better.

You need a shed in Tupudana, Namkum or another industrial area with a heavy lathe, a honing machine, an overhead crane, a test bench and experienced fitters. The hard part is getting on approved supplier lists: big buyers use tenders and audits, and often pay late. Hard chrome plating needs pollution consent, so many shops send it out.

Start with private mining contractors and stone-crusher owners, who decide faster, and use your test records to win plant contracts.
