Sundargarh's NABARD credit plan for 2023-24 pegs total priority-sector lending potential at about Rs.11,333 crore. The biggest slice is MSME at roughly Rs.5,930 crore (about 52%) — Sundargarh is Odisha's industrial hub, home to Rourkela Steel Plant, OCL/Dalmia Cements, the L&T Steel Plant at Kansbahal, NTPC, MCL and OPTCL, and it had the most MSMEs set up of any district in the state.
