Chennai grows none of it. Small onions can also go by chilled container through Chennai Port.
You need an importer-exporter code, registration with the government's farm export authority, an FSSAI food licence, a plant health certificate per shipment, a cold room for pre-cooling (fast chilling right after packing) and a chilled van. Market quality changes daily, cargo space and freight charges swing around festivals, and a delayed or rejected shipment is lost. Established exporters already run this trade, so steady quality wins. Insist on advance payment from new buyers.
