A training centre with a working practice lab, where fresh graduates learn the tasks drug plants hire for: running HPLC machines (instruments that measure how much of each chemical is in a sample), testing samples, keeping lab records the way inspectors expect, and the basics of good manufacturing practice. Short batches of a few weeks, ending with a practical test, work best.
Hyderabad is a national hub for bulk drugs, formulations and vaccines, with plants and Genome Valley in and around the city. NABARD's 2023-24 credit plan for the district counts 9 pharmacy, 17 engineering and 215 degree colleges in the district and calls Hyderabad a major education destination. Many fresh graduates have had little hands-on time with the instruments plant labs use every day.
You need trainers with years of quality-control work inside plants, a clean lab room, a few used but working instruments, and strict chemical safety rules. The hard part is placement. Students pay only when they see jobs at the end, so you must build close ties with plant quality and HR heads. Ameerpet and nearby areas are already full of job-training institutes, so real lab practice has to be your edge.
