• ▸Agro and food processing is the single biggest non-crop line at ₹144.08 cr, anchored by raw material in cotton ginning, turmeric processing and dairy; a Mega Food Processing Park in Nandipet mandal (neighbouring Nizamabad) is already encouraging new units.
• ▸Farm mechanisation (tractors and power tillers) carries ₹103.27 cr of term-loan potential — the largest investment-credit sub-line.
• ▸Plantation and horticulture including sericulture at ₹88.40 cr: mango, citrus, papaya, guava, sapota, banana plus shade-net nurseries and vegetable cultivation on pandals/poly houses near the semi-urban belt.
• ▸Poultry (₹73.26 cr) and dairy (₹53.80 cr) — the animal husbandry dept is pushing mini dairy units for rural youth with subsidy, and automated contract-farming poultry units are flagged as a new opportunity.
• ▸Sheep, goat and piggery rearing at ₹49.25 cr, supported by 314 active Primary Sheep Breeding Cooperative Societies with about 65,000 members.
• ▸Minor irrigation / water resources (pump sets, lift and micro irrigation) at ₹58.72 cr, with the district drawing on Manjeera Delta and Nizamsagar dam command (65% of irrigated area).

Gaps the plan names

• ▸Stagnating productivity and lack of timely, hassle-free inputs (HYV seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, credit) plus high post-harvest losses constrain the agriculture sector.
• ▸Absence of reliable marketing linkages; need to improve services at APMCs and create scientific, accreditation-grade storage space with collateral management and pledge-loan services.
• ▸Marketing avenues for fish processing and storage are specifically lacking despite a large fisheries market in the district.
• ▸Critical support needed in minor irrigation and completion of ongoing irrigation projects to lift the net irrigated area (1.04 lakh ha of 3.61 lakh ha cropped).
• ▸Maintenance and upgrading of the rural road network to connect produce to markets.
