This co-op runs two complementary lines from a shared Dharmanagar base: an agarwood distillation unit producing graded agar oil and attar, and a rubber-sheet grading-and-smoking operation. It builds directly on the district's Agar oil & agarwood cluster and its Rubber & tea plantations, and the Dharmanagar rail & border node gives it freight access to Guwahati and the Bangladesh trade route. The plan targets the Agarwood: raw chips to distilled agar oil & attar gap, where the margin sits — chips leave cheap, oil sells dear to Gulf and domestic attar houses.

What it takes is honest about the risk: legal agarwood sourcing means CITES paperwork and state forest-department permits, distillation is a learned craft with variable yields per batch, and rubber grading to RSS standard needs consistent smoke-house discipline. Working capital is heavy because both crops are seasonal and inventory ages. Buyers are perfume and attar wholesalers (Kannauj, Gulf exporters) for oil, and tyre-grade and latex-goods firms for sheet. Start with rubber for steady cash flow; scale agar oil as the distillation skill matures.
