GI Fazli mango pulp & branded-processed unit

Malda's GI-protected mango belt — Fazli, Himsagar, Lakshmanbhog — produces export-acclaimed fruit, but a short, glut-prone harvest means much of it sells at distress prices or spoils. This venture sharpens away from the forced mango-plus-silk mashup onto the stronger single thread: a mango processing unit. It builds directly on the district's Fazli mango GI belt and captures the live gap from raw fruit to pulp, pickle, and branded processed mango. The line runs pulping, aseptic or hot-fill packing, pickle and squash, and dried mango — selling aseptic pulp drums to beverage and pulp-trade B2B buyers and consumer SKUs to retail and gifting channels, with the GI tag as a genuine provenance lever. The honest constraints are stark seasonality (a few intense harvest weeks demand high throughput and cold storage, then idle months), FSSAI and food-safety compliance, and the working capital to buy a year's pulp in one window. Margins depend on running the off-season on bought-in or other fruit and on locking B2B pulp offtake early. The kept capex and payback reflect processing equipment, cold storage, and that seasonal cash cycle — not weak demand.
