This business runs a paddy drying, cleaning and storage centre close to the basmati fields. Farmers and farmer groups bring in freshly harvested paddy; you dry it to a safe moisture level, clean it, and store it in bags or bins for a monthly rent. Rice mills can also rent space to age paddy, since basmati that is stored for some months before milling cooks better and sells for more.
