GI Tamenglong Orange juice, concentrate & marmalade unit

Tamenglong Orange is GI-protected — smaller than Nagpur mandarin, sharper, intensely aromatic — but the premium lives downstream while the district sells raw. This unit builds on the Tamenglong Mandarin (orange) belt atom and targets the Tamenglong Mandarin: raw fruit → juice / branded GI packs gap, producing single-strength juice, concentrate and marmalade that wrap the GI tag in retail packaging for metro D2C and HoReCa buyers.

The capex covers a fruit washer, juicer, pasteuriser and packing line. Honest constraints: the harvest concentrates into Nov-Jan, so the line must process a glut and then store; GI compliance means every batch is traceable; and the brand has to out-story mainland orange juices with no GI claim. Premium pricing only works with strong storytelling — the GI is the wedge, not the juice itself. Start with marmalade and concentrate (longer shelf life), add chilled juice once cold chain off the hill is reliable. Buyers are D2C gourmet retail, NE-produce platforms, cafes and hotels.
